Hisaab Barabar uses the tale of Radhe Mohan, who finds irregularities in bank interest computations, to illustrate significant personal finance lessons. Notwithstanding its comic shortcomings, the movie emphasizes how important it is to keep an eye on bank records and comprehend financial information in order to prevent losses.

Although the one-line idea may have seemed intriguing on paper, the way it is executed comes out as forced and awkward. An honest-to-a-fault, math-whiz ticket collector unintentionally becomes involved in the actions of a greedy banker.

Radhe Mohan Sharma, played by Madhavan, is a cheerful and intelligent employee whose first meeting with a pretty police officer (Kirti Kulhari) isn’t exactly a meet-cute. He offers her an orange from a fruit vendor at the station, but she declines, saying, “Main chori kiye santare nahin khati.”

It turns out that the two of them have some history together: she, a police inspector who struggles with numbers, is aware of it, while he, a single dad of a small kid, is not. Nevertheless, as they go forward into the promising future, they find themselves talking about various topics.

We might have had a decent romantic comedy if Hisaab Barabar had continued this unlikely-couple strand, in which Madhavan appears older than he should be for his part but is always entertaining to watch. However, when Neil Nitin Mukesh’s flamboyant bank owner Mickey Mehta appears, everything go south since he has a huge swindle up his sleeve. Mehta would make a great cartoonish villain if there was ever a need for one. You can watch the official teaser on YouTube.
