About Shakti Dubey UPSC AIR 1
Originally from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Dubey finished her elementary and college education there. Later, she attended Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to complete her postgraduate studies in biochemistry. In 2018, she started preparing for the civil services exam.
In a simulated interview that Chahal Academy posted on its YouTube page, Dubey said her family history was the reason she chose to enter the public service. “I have observed my father working as a police officer,” she stated. At first, I assumed it was simply a job, but while I was living at the BHU hostel, I came to understand that even in late hours, police officers and their vehicles provide a sense of security.
